CALL FOR PAPERS
We are haunted by the stories and the images of too many mass atrocities, by the unprecedented genocides since the onset of world in America, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa. By organizing this conference we are convinced we can and we must do better on prevention of mass atrocities. Remembrance ceremonies and memorials are very important. We owe it to the victims and their families. Central tool to raise awareness, especially among generations that have not lived through such tragedies is remembrance, research and education. The conference welcomes cretaive debates, historical and modern research on genocide and mass atrocities. Therefore we welcome, researchers, scientists, historians, investigrators, NGO members to take part in this meaningful event.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

August 1, 2022.
The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
The presenting author must be listed as the first author.
Submitted abstracts should include non-published data.
Abstracts previously presented will not be accepted.
Abstract writing rules
Presenting author's contact details (should be the same details as the submitting author so that the presenting author receives the correspondence about the abstract)
- Times new roman, 12 pt
- All authors titles, name-surnames, institutes, email adresses
- At least 3 keywords
ABSTRACT SELECTION AND PRESENTATION
The Committee will review all submitted abstracts. Notification regarding abstract acceptance and scheduling will be sent to the submitting author.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST & ETHICAL APPROVAL
You will be asked to declare that you have received ethical approval for your study (if relevant), and you will be requested to confirm that you will declare any conflict of interests in your presentation at the congress
TOPICS
Our conference is open to all studies from all disciplines related to Genocides Studies.
International scholars and academics in the fields of political science, history and sociology will present and discuss their findings about genocides and mass atrocities.
FULL TEXT SUBMISSION/ EXTENDED ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Full text is not mandatory. You might submit an extended abstract. If you wish to publish full text please send it to info@genocidestudiescenter.org via email between August 15-25, 2022.
GUIDELINES FOR FULL PAPER
Since the symposium has an INTERNATIONAL nature, it is mandatory to send an abstract in English.
Full Text Writing Rules
- Times New Roman, 12 pt. (Manuscript title, author names, institutions, e-mail addresses, abstract and keywords should all be in 12 pt.
For parts such as graphics, tables
the font size of the author can be determined by the author in the most appropriate way)
- Give the line spacing 1.25
- Do not indent at the beginning of the paragraph from the left.
- MAIN titles should be written in CAPITAL letters and bold
- Citation and Bibliography should be arranged in APA style.
- Your full texts must be at least 5 pages.
- ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION, RESEARCH AND FINDINGS, CONCLUSION AND REFERENCES in your full texts
parts of it should be shown under separate headings.
PARTICIPATION & PRESENTATIONS
We offer 2 forms of participation. In person participation in Baku and online participation via ZOOM. For online participation you will be informed one week before about ID and password details. Conference major language is English. However papers and presentations in Turkish and Russian also possible
CERTIFICATIONS
In person participants will receive hard copy certificates after the presentation
PDF certificates will be sent to virtual participants after the presentation
PUBLICATION
Abstracts and full texts will be published in Proceedings (ISBN) book
In addition to proceedings books, we are willing to prepare a genocide encyclopedia which includes all genocides since onset of world to present. Distinguished full texts are selected as chapters of genocide encyclopedia
